How to get to the Kaiser Franz Josef Hotel:

From the airport:

• Take the city train (Schnellbahn) to station Wien-Mitte. The airport station of the train can be reached from within the airport building.

• Take underground U4 (green) to Heiligenstadt

• Take bus 39A (towards Sievering) exit Friedlgasse

How to get to the Central Institute (ZAMG):

From the airport:

• Take the city train (Schnellbahn) to station Wien-Mitte. The airport station of the train can be reached from within the airport building.

• Take underground U4 (green, towards Heiligenstadt) exit Spittelau, then take U6 (brown) to Nußdorfer Strasse

• Take tram 37 (towards Hohe Warte) exit Perntergasse. The station is located directly in front of ZAMG.

From the Kaiser Franz Josef Hotel:

By walking: ZAMG is within ~15 min walking distance from the hotel. Turn left (towards the center) on Sieveringer Strasse, after 50m turn left on Grinzinger Allee. Take the first street on the right (Pfarrwiesengasse) and follow it 3 blocks until it hits Silbergasse. Turn left on Silbergasse and follow it (after 3 blocks it makes a right turn) until it hits Hohe Warte. Turn right on Hohe Warte. The entrance to ZAMG is after 50m on the left. By public transport: Take bus 39A (towards Heiligenstadt) exit Barawitzkagasse – Hohe Warte Take tram 37 (towards Hohe Warte) exit Perntergasse. The station is located directly in front of ZAMG.

A single trip by public transport costs Euro 1,50. The '72 Stunden' (72 hours) ticket for Euro 12  is useful if you plan to do some sightseeing.
With this ticket, you can use all underground, bus, tram, and city train lines within the boundaries of Vienna for 72 hours.
