Synoptic situation
The enhanced IR image show already at an early stage the level of convectivity in the warm sector ahead of a frontal system. The IR animation shows the frontal system over central europe. Under influence of daytime convection further several convective cells develop in the warm sector. The highest level of convectivty is seen in the cells pictured as blue. These are the cells which are also likely to produce hail.
