Synoptic situation
The WV 6.2 image shows very clearly the westerly upper level flow. Apparently two upper level jet branches are located near Italy; the northern one is located across the northern part of the country and has rather well-defined jet fibre cloudiness.The southern jet is located over the central-souther part of Italy and oriented in west-east direction.
