Synoptic situation
Airmass RGB shows quite well the upper level flow with some reddish tones associated with the dry upper tropopheric air. In fact two reddish areas can be found over northern and central parts of Italy during the day; these areas obviously are connected with the two jet streams, that can be seen also with the WV 6.2 images. In contrast to WV6.2 images, Airmass RGB is capable of showing also the developing low level cloudiness east of the Apennine mountains.
