The example shows a Cold Front cloud band extending from the Atlantic over western France, England into the North Sea. The Warm Conveyor Belt cloudiness is the anticyclonically curved cloudiness extending from Portugal across the Gulf of Biscay and merging with the frontal cloud band over Germany. In the corresponding VIS image, only a few translucent clouds are visible in the relevant area, indicating that the clouds are at middle and high levels.|
