ARCTIC COLD FRONT - SHORT SUMMARY

by FMI

Example

A well developed Arctic Cold Front is moving from the Arctic Sea towards the north Norwegian coast. It is accompanied by a deep convective cloud along the front and small scale convection in a wide area within the arctic air mass at the rear of the front. Convection tends to organise as cloud streets, aligned along the wind at the lower troposphere.
