Height Contours 1000 hPa:
The isobars on the surface show clearly the north easterly flow over the Irish Sea and southwards with high pressure over
the Atlantic an low pressure over Europe.
Divergence 10 meter wind:
Negative divergence (convergence) in 10-5/s every 2 units.
Although there is also coastal convergence to be seen over the east coast of England, Holland and France the convergence
over the Irish sea fits quite well in the feature from the Image
Vertical motion (Omega):
Negative omega (upward motion) in hPa/hr every 2 units.
Not only the upward motion in the discribed CM is clear but also the strong upward motion in the coastal convergence
zones over the UK and western Europe.
Surface temperatures:
The difference between the sea surface temperature and the 1.5 meter land temperature is significant in this case.
Streamlines 10 meter wind:
Streamlines over the Irish Sea show beautifully the confluence in this area which leads to convergence.
