Divergence:
The field of divergence in the zone of high gradients of isentropes accompanying a Baroclinic Boundary does not show much
convergence in this case. This is an indication of the very low cloud band.
Vertical Motion (Omega):
As a consequence of missing convergence, there is also downward motion in the main part of the Baroclinic Boundary.
Upward motion only takes place in that part of the vertical cross section where isentrops show an unstable stratification.
This supports the fact that there is only low cloud.
