Θe 850 hPa:
The value of Θe at 850 hPa goes down to -18°C behind the Arctic Cold Front, which is well below the threshold of -4°C.
Temperature 500 hPa:
The temperature behind the Arctic Cold Front at 500 hPa is -44°C, which is below the threshold value of -40°C.
Temperature advection 850 hPa:
There is strong cold advection behind the Arctic Cold Front. In addition there is an area of warm advection in the eastern part of the front; this is due to short-lived Wave development that took place at the moment. The model field seems to be shifted a little, because the Wave area is more to the southeast than the warm advection.
Height contours 700 hPa:
There is a trough at 700 hPa connected to the Arctic Cold Front, but the model field seems the be shifted, as the trough line is northwest of the frontal cloudiness.
PVA 700 hPa:
There is positive vorticity advection at 700 hPa due to the trough. The model field seems to be shifted a little to the northwest.
