Parameter Description
Precipitation
  • Enhanced convective precipitation, showers and even thunderstorms, restricted to coastal areas.
  • During wintertime possibly heavy and prolonged snowfall over coastal regions.
Temperature
  • Varying effects.
  • In winter coastal regions - surrounded by cold land on one side and open sea on the another - often experiencing sudden rises in temperature.
  • In summer temperature lower on coastal showery areas compared to inland areas having fair weather.
Wind (incl. gusts)
  • Moderate to fresh winds having a small angle in the direction with respect to the coastline.
